We have reached an incredible time where world leaders, educators, parents, and others are re-assessing what skills we should really be teaching future generations in school and in the workplace. Technological advancement, innovations, and industrial shifts mean that specific hard skills need to be learned. But that’s not the only skills we need.
Empowered and sustainable communities are built when people work together. And that’s what the partnership between Promise Hub and Funzi is all about. We are partnering up to develop a mobile curriculum that will be easily scaled to support the growth of 10 million entrepreneurs in the next 30 years. As initial steps, Promise Hub’s local impact team have made use of a mobile course for project management and facilitation skills, tailored from Promise Hub’s content, as well as Funzi’s flagship entrepreneurship course Founder 101.
The Funzi Ambassador Program launched on July 12th, 2017 at iHub in Nairobi, Kenya. We had inspiring conversations about the current state and future of learning, as well as how to advance a growth mindset and the mentality of lifelong learning. Other Funzi Ambassadors have previously taken initiative to host several events to work towards building supportive learning communities. They have also helped us gain a better understanding of how Funzi can be useful in our users’ lives.
