Forum UP in Amman, Jordan, Nov 28-29

The forum for SMEs (small and medium sized local enterprises) was a kickstart to cooperation between UNOPS, Jordan River Foundation and Funzi to train SMEs and especially women entrepreneurs in Jordan. The training comprises a mobile learning course and intensive training and mentoring for most gifted students. We are extremely excited about this training program, because after successful completion, the program will be expanded to other locations globally.

Driver for the future mobile learning course

"Driver for the future" course

Funzi has launched vocational skills training with Jobberman Nigeria

This and future training programs aim to standardize many of the informal and certification-based job market sectors in Nigeria.

First up is driver training - the initial goal is to train 3 000 certified premium drivers by the end of 2016! The freshly launched "Driver for the future" training program focuses on building skills in the areas of safe and lawful driving, communication as well as general car safety and maintenance - alongside developing an attitude of trust and integrity.

Using mobile learning can increase the effectiveness of traditional training, and it is also faster, more scalable and more efficient. The blended learning model includes taking an online course on the Funzi mobile learning service and a one-day group session at the Jobberman office in Lagos, Nigeria. The learner is awarded with a certificate on successful completion of the program.
