Funzi learner events: Give your audience valuable career tips to start and grow in their professional life
We would like to introduce our monthly learner event series How to… with Funzi starting on the 29th of April. Our first learner event is about How to create a career plan. The learner events aim to give participants practical tips on career and self-development topics. Participants will receive advice from experts in the industry, hear their real experiences, and get the chance to ask questions. After every event, participants will also receive a downloadable guide/template on the topic discussed so that they can start applying these tips.

The event is free for all the participants and will be available to watch Live on Funzi’s Facebook page. The participants are not required to pre-register, but RSVP will be encouraged on the Facebook event page to get all the necessary information.

Speakers of the event
Our guest speaker is Ondela Mlandu. She is a multi-talented marketing and communications expert, entrepreneur, and women empowerment movement leader from South Africa. Alongside her 9-5 job, Ondela contributes to blogs, hosts a podcast, and is the Vice Curator of the Global Shapers Community. Ondela’s career journey has been an extraordinary one. Her expertise and experiences will help learners start and grow in their careers.
The second speaker is Funzi’s content specialist Jenni Pekkola. Jenni is no stranger to bold career moves. While working as a professional musician, Jenni discovered a passion for marketing and startups. For some, this change may be too daunting, but for Jenni it was the right decision for her career. She wants to share her knowledge and support young adults on their path towards their dream career and live a life that reflects their values. Jenni will talk about her experience and help learners discover the fundamental pillars of career planning and recognizing one's talent and passion.
Monthly events
Funzi will continue hosting learner events monthly to deepen learners’ knowledge around career and self-development topics. These events will help guide learners through every step of their professional development and gradually build a roadmap for professional life success. In May, the topic of our learner event is how to make your CV stand out, and in June, we focus on how to be successful in personal branding. These are critical skills to master to stay competitive in today’s job market.
